Consumer Advocate Ron Burley has battled for the "little guy" against some of the largest corporations in the world. As a columnist for the nation’s largest circulation magazine (AARP Magazine, 41 million subscribers) and a consumer correspondent for ABC’s Good Morning America, Ron has helped return more than $5 million dollars to exploited and defrauded consumers. 

He is a published author, has provided testimony to Congress, and is a widely sought-after public speaker on business and consumer issues. He is also the senior partner and founder of Brushfire Consulting, a firm dedicated to improving relationships between customers and corporations worldwide.

Ron grew up in the American west. He spent the school year in the progressive think tank known as the San Francisco Bay area. Summers took him to the high mountain desert of of Eastern Nevada, where he learned to ride horses, shoot guns, and sip lemonade in a hammock while reading a good book. He worked for two decades  as a broadcast journalist, before launching a successful software company, BSI, which was later purchased by Cumulus Media.

He is active in humanitarian causes, and has served on several national and regional boards of directors, including the American Red Cross, the American Cancer Society, and Common Cause.

He lives in Oregon with his wife, Coleen, and three fabulous children. When not in the office, he's often in the air, flying his vintage 1965 Cessna Skyhawk.  He is a student of karate, a soccer referee, and plinks a guitar in his spare time.
